San Antonio
Where it all started
Looking out from my room balcony. We found this great Italian Restaurant
in a converted house where several of us had the chance to eat.
During the night we had a "thunder storm" which added to the high humidity.
It was some of the loudest and longest thunder that many of us had ever
heard. The rains came hard and heavy. The next morning they were out
cleaning up some of the washouts.
A short walk from our hotel Al Zadrick found this memorial. Good thing for
us that Al got lost or we may never
have discovered it!

We, of the Bearss Club Salute You
While roaming on our own. We got the munchies. We let Glenna choose the
restaurant with reservations. With memories of her selection in Charleston
still lingering in our minds. To her credit, she stepped up to the task at hand.
We had a very good lunch here.
With our bellies full. Dot checks the map for the nearest trolley stops to
return us to the hotel.
While walking to the trolley-stop we ran across these attractions.
Later in the day and the next day the members started showing up.
Our numbers grew, and as the day wore on we were all anxious for our
welcome banquet that evening.
As always. Joe hates to pose for
pictures.
Don't look at me in that tone of
voice. You know there's going to be
pictures taken.
While eating and socializing we had the pleasure of a Mariachi Group
After our dinner most head back to our hospitality room.
